Stop Holding Yourself Back!

‘Expression Sessions’ with Ash is designed to help you move beyond self-consciousness, loosen the fear of judgement, and rediscover the confidence to express yourself freely.

25th March - 7 PM to 8 PM

What These Sessions Are About

Expression Sessions are rooted in practices originally inspired by laughter yoga, but the focus here is broader.

The intention is to help people reconnect with their natural ability to express themselves freely.

Through guided exercises that involve movement, imagination and playful interaction, participants are invited to explore what happens when we stop policing ourselves quite so tightly.

Some of the exercises may feel unusual at first — pretending to be animals, exaggerating movements, laughing deliberately, or engaging in spontaneous group activities.

These activities are not random. They are carefully used to help people move past the initial self-consciousness that tends to arise whenever we step outside our normal social behaviour.

What often happens is simple but powerful: once that barrier softens, people begin to feel lighter, more relaxed, and far less concerned about how they appear.

About Ash

Ash began exploring wellbeing practices over a decade ago through meditation, journalling, and personal reflection.

While these practices helped him develop clarity and resilience, he eventually recognised that something was missing — a way to reconnect with spontaneity, humour, and the simple human capacity to be expressive.

Discovering laughter-based practices opened that door.

Since then he has developed a dynamic and engaging approach that blends laughter exercises, movement, and playful interaction to help people break through the self-consciousness that many of us carry.

His sessions are known for being welcoming, energising, and unexpectedly transformative.

Why This Matters ?

Many people struggle with confidence in subtle ways.

Not because they lack ability or intelligence, but because they have learned to hold themselves back — in conversation, in social situations, or even in everyday expression.

Fear of embarrassment, fear of saying the wrong thing, fear of being judged.

Over time that hesitation can quietly limit how freely we live.

Expression Sessions create a space where people can safely explore what it feels like to move beyond that fear.

Session Goals

  • loosen the grip of self-consciousness

  • become more comfortable expressing themselves in front of others

  • develop confidence in spontaneous interaction

  • release tension held in the body

  • reconnect with a more natural sense of ease

It is not uncommon for people to arrive feeling unsure, only to leave realising how much energy they had been using to hold themselves in.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Each session lasts around one hour and is guided entirely by Ash.

The experience unfolds gradually so that everyone has time to settle into the group.

    Opening and Warm-Up

Movement and simple interactive exercises help the group relax and break the initial awkwardness.

    Expression Exercises

The main part of the session involves playful activities designed to loosen self-consciousness and encourage natural expression.

These may involve imaginative scenarios, exaggerated movement, laughter practices, or spontaneous group interaction.

The aim is not to perform well — but simply to participate.

    Release and Flow

As the session unfolds, the atmosphere tends to shift. People become less guarded, laughter arises more naturally, and the room often fills with a sense of openness.

    Grounding and Closing

The session ends with a short grounding meditation to settle the body and mind.

  • These sessions are open to anyone.

You might find them particularly valuable if you:

    • struggle with confidence in expressing yourself

    • find yourself worrying about how others perceive you

    • want to become more comfortable speaking or interacting with people

    • are simply curious about stepping outside your usual comfort zone

You do not need to be outgoing or naturally playful.
