The Men’s Space
At The Dhamma Centre

Tuesday, 8 April
From 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
The Men's SpaceIs a monthly gathering at the Dhamma Centre for men who want to be apart of a community of men dedicated toward self-improvement which includes mind body and spirit. This is not a therapy/ self-help type of group or a place where anyone is expected to speak about personal matters. It is simply a space where men can spend time together in a grounded, warm and judgement-free environment.

Many Mindfulness offerings speak in very general terms, but the pressures men experience in daily life often have a particular shape — the weight of responsibility, the need to stay composed, the constant push to perform at work, support family, and keep moving forward without much pause.
These guided meditations are carefully shaped around those realities.
Rather than abstract spiritual ideas, the practice focuses on grounding the mind, settling the nervous system, and reconnecting with a sense of steadiness and clarity. It offers a moment to step away from the noise of daily demands and simply breathe, reflect, and gather oneself.
No previous meditation experience is needed.

Designed to loosen things up and bring some energy into the room.
Ash guides a series of lively, interactive exercises that help break the ice and get everyone out of their heads and into the moment. These activities are simple, engaging, and surprisingly fun.
They help men relax, get the blood flowing, and build confidence without overthinking. In everyday life many men carry responsibility quietly — at work, in family life, and in the roles they hold. There is often an unspoken pressure to be serious, composed, and in control.
Through movement, spontaneous exercises, and group interaction, men have the chance to loosen up, laugh, and reconnect with a more natural way of being around others.
It is not about discussing personal issues, and it certainly isn’t anything like speed-dating or forced conversation.
The aim is much simpler: to break down the barriers we often place on ourselves and rediscover ease, presence, and confidence in a room full of other men.

Most men spend their days carrying responsibility.
Work demands attention. Families depend on them. Expectations — both spoken and unspoken — are simply part of everyday life. Over time, the pace of it all leaves very little room to pause and tend to one’s own wellbeing.
At the same time, there are surprisingly few wellness spaces that are designed specifically with men in mind. Many environments that speak about wellbeing do not always resonate with the way men naturally approach these things.
The Men’s Space is our small attempt to help bridge that gap.
It is an offering — a place where men can step away from the demands of daily life for a short while, reconnect with themselves through meditation and engaging activities, and spend time among other men who are also navigating the realities of modern life.
Over time, we hope it becomes something more than just a gathering.
A space where men can strengthen both mind and body, and where a healthy sense of community can naturally grow.
