Who we are
The Dhamma Centre is a space where people from all walks of life—whether deeply spiritual or simply seeking peace—are able to explore the timeless practices and benefit of traditional and modern mindfulness-based and meditational practices.
Founded in 2019, we began with a simple yet powerful vision: to make the Buddha’s wisdom accessible to people in a practical, and transformative manner, beneficial for everyday life. Rooted in the Buddhist way of life, our work bridges spiritual insight with contemporary needs—particularly around mental health, emotional resilience, and community cohesion and harmony.
What We Do
We offer a range of courses, programs, and retreats designed to support the mind, heart, and spirit. These include:
Weekly meditation classes (in-person and online)
Secular mindfulness programs for stress reduction
Vipassanā and Metta retreats focused on inner transformation
Workshops on emotional regulation, trauma awareness, and resilience
Youth and adult well-being initiatives
Collaborations with practitioners, educators, and facilitators
We maintain a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment. We dont believe in labels and you do not need to identify as Buddhist to benefit from the work we do—what we offer is human wisdom, made relevant to everyday challenges through a wide array of community partnerships.
Our Philosophy
At the core of our work is the belief that Meditation practices, when applied with care and clarity, can radically support mental wellness. Our approach is grounded in three principles:
1. Wisdom That Heals
We draw from the deep well of Buddhist teachings—not as dogma, but as a source of healing insight. Through meditation, ethical reflection, and compassionate awareness, participants often experience greater calm, reduced anxiety, and deeper self-understanding.
2. Wholeness Over Labels
We work across both traditional and contemporary frameworks, blending canonical Buddhist teachings with evidence-based psychological tools. We regularly collaborate with resource persons from a variety of disciplines— practitioners, educators, body-based facilitators—ensuring our programs are holistic and grounded in real-world outcomes.
3. People Before Philosophy
While our roots are spiritual, our goal is deeply human: to help individuals suffer less and live more fully. Everything we do is directed toward wholesome, positive change—whether it’s someone coping with burnout, navigating grief, or simply seeking a quieter mind.
Why Mental Health Matters to Us
Through the work we’ve done over the years, We understand that the power of meditation is able support people through depression, stress, anxiety, trauma, and spiritual and life crisis’s. These tools offer something unique: not just relief, but a path to long-term clarity and strength.
While we are not a medical or clinical service, many participants have found that our teachings complement and deepen their personal healing journeys. We see mental health not only as the absence of illness but as the presence of insight, balance, and joy—and we are committed to fostering those qualities in every offering.
A Community of Compassion, Across Generations
We believe that healing doesn’t happen alone. That’s why we place deep emphasis on our community rooted in kindness, awareness, and mutual care.
For young people, we offer programs to build self-awareness and emotional resilience
For adults, we offer space to reflect, grow, and re-centre
For elders, we provide meaningful spiritual companionship and practices to enrich later life
Everyone is welcome. Everyone matters.
